scope
A bank called
Expandia banka
(currently known as eBanka, part of Raiffeisen Bank in the Czech Republic) was
established in 1997. The bank decided to focus primarily on Internet
banking and direct channel services. ARBES Technologies was chosen to
create a new core banking system to cover all the functionality because
no suitable system was available at the time.
The
system is comprised of the following parts:
- Back
office application
- Front office application
- Direct
channels: WAP, PDA, SMS, SIM Toolkit
Authentication
The
bank uses hardware generated codes, encrypted SMS codes and PKI
certificates for authentication.

Almost
all settings can be made via the user interface and so customers do not
have to contact the bank.
