Support of Equilor Trading on the Prague and Warsaw Stock Exchanges

August 4, 2011
ARBES TOPAS has been chosen to support the activities of the Hungarian security trader, the Equilor Investment company
The Hungarian security trader, Equilor Investment Zrt. has decided to extend its services and thus allow its clients to trade on the Prague and Warsaw stock exchanges. As the supplier of the software solution which is intended to support the business activities of the company on both these new markets, Equilor has chosen ARBES Technologies and its tried-and-true  information system ARBES TOPAS, which will be launched live in August 2011.
The ARBES TOPAS information system belongs among advanced software solutions for investment administration and trading on capital markets and is used by more than 25 companies all over Europe. „The ARBES TOPAS software solution is a system that covers the entire security trading agenda, including all  Back Office and Front Office operations. Thanks to its architecture and modular concept, the system can be very flexibly adjusted to suit the particular client requirements. The system allows for gradual extensions, with regard to the planned development of activities of EQUILOR,” says Tomáš Denemark, Director of the Financial Systems and Enterprise Applications division at ARBES Technologies.

ARBES TOPAS provides its users with a number of methods for evaluation of portfolios of the publicly tradable securities and common types of OTC derivatives in addition to functions for the administration of investments, accounting and trading. The system archives all uploaded exchange rates from the reputable REUTERS and Bloomberg agencies. Net asset value (NAV) calculation is based on automated evaluation and is then used as the basis for a series of subsequent operations (e.g. limit checks in the real time, portfolio performance comparison, etc.). The solution also includes a set of interfaces for trade export and import as well as for communication with selected markets and banks, either directly or using the SWIFT protocol.

Equilor Investment Zrt., established more than 20 years ago, has started operating together with the reintroduction of the Hungarian capital market and the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE). The company provides services relating to domestic and international securities, has been involved in administration of investments and assets for over 10 years and has been providing consulting services in company finance for over 15 years. Equilor is a member of the Budapest, Warsaw and Prague stock exchanges. In 2010, Equilor has gained the “Team of the Year” award from the Budapest Stock Exchange.
