ARBES OBS Core Banking at Air Bank

ARBES is implementing ARBES OBS, an
advanced banking system, at a new Czech bank called Air Bank, which
begins operations this fall
Air Bank, part of the PPF
group, is the first bank in more than ten years to acquire a new
banking license. The bank enters the market with a simple and
transparent banking policy and modern user operation tools. The ARBES OBS
information system will help the bank with their plans providing
flexible settings, advanced configuration and unique banking products
thanks to which the bank plans to quickly secure a leading position on
the Czech banking market.
The ARBES OBS software platform is a modern banking system that is able cover the complete banking agenda including all Back Office and Front Office
operations, remote branch support, the keeping of the main accounting
ledger, Internet and mobile banking, etc. Thanks to its multi-level
architecture and its modular concept, the system is able to flexibly
adjust to specific customer requirements so that different types of
banks as well as payment service providers are able to use the system.
In addition, the individual system modules can operate with other
banking systems. As part of the project, ARBES OBS is being extended
with new functionalities.
The system can be continuously extended, thus keeping pace with planned bank expansion. Routine ARBES OBS system operations are planned for fall of 2011, when Air Bank plans to open its first branches. The ARBES OBS banking system implementation project at Air Bank began in late 2010.
This is the second ARBES OBS system implementation for the PPF group. The first was the successful implementation at Home Credit Bank in Kazakhstan in 2009.
