ARBES Technologies Releases New ARBES FEIS ERP Version

June 8, 2011
ARBES introduces a new ERP version of the ARBES FEIS system – version 12
ARBES Technologies has released a new version of the ARBES FEIS information system called version 12. In addition to the support of the new amendment to the VAT law, it offers the administration of the calendar, automated work with files and expanded options regarding security policy.
The new features of the ARBES FEIS 12 information system focus mainly on simplifying work with the system. This includes calendar record-keeping that enhances work with non-working days, enables the setting of a time limit for user access to the system, notifies users of important events and offers highly desirable protection against typing mistakes when entering dates. A big advantage is the extended support for updating exchange rate lists, which can now be automatically loaded from internet sources without the requirement of any user operation.

Among the other enhancements of the ARBES FEIS system in version 12 is the support for delivering files from the ARBES FEIS system directly to online postboxes. This feature can be used for communication with business partners (e.g. for sending electronic invoices or notifications) as well as with public administration authorities (especially when submitting tax returns and tax reports to tax administrators). Support of communication with the state administration has been further extended in the area of work with XML files, which can now be saved automatically. Regarding outputs for the Central System of State Accounting Information, it is now possible to compile reports as part of a single operation.

New features concerning security policy can now be set differently for various types of users. It is therefore possible, for example, to set stricter rules for users with wide-ranging authorization (administrators) or to switch off certain rules for operators who carry out automatic import.

Current legislative changes, as a matter of course, are included in the new version of the ERP system. This mainly concerns the comprehensive amendment to the VAT law valid as of April 1. ARBES FEIS functionalities have thus been extended in the area of applying entitlements for tax deductions (shifting the option of tax deduction entitlement to the period of tax document receipt for domestic VAT types) and the taxation of advance payments for providing services within the EU (obligation to pay tax as of the last day of the month in which the remuneration of services was provided). The VAT records that are now required by law are available in the mode of transferring tax responsibility including the statement from these records in the set format. Another new feature of the system is the option to enter notes for individual types of VAT types, thus ensuring their inclusion in each relevant tax document.

ARBES Technologies customarily arranges an event for clients each time a major annual ARBES FEIS version is released where clients are introduced to the new main features. This year this event was named “Market”, due to the new event format. Presentations and discussions took place and the stands were organized by topic where participants could work out their individual issues and have their questions answered by consultants and could also pick up brochures providing information on a given topic. The attractive location at the Czech Republic’s tallest building (the Tower conference center in Prague) as well as the interesting program set up according to client requests attracted a large number of ARBES FEIS system users, all of which expressed satisfaction with the new format of this established event. In addition to the new features in version 12 and the amendment to the VAT law, the hottest topics of interest were the FEIS management superstructure [BI] and electronic invoicing in the ISDOC format.
